I’m so happy to introduce you to Halifax Cookie Cravings, a local business in Halifax, Nova Scotia, run by Diana. She makes cookies with delicious, locally sourced, ingredients and delivers them (when possible) on her beautiful bicycle!
Diana makes many different types of cookies including birthday confetti, chocolate praline, peanut butter filled with chocolate buttercream and potato chip! (Made from Covered Bridge Potato Chips)
I asked Diana a few questions about Halifax Cookie Cravings:
Me: What is your favourite cookie flavour?
Diana: That’s a really hard question. I love the Lemon Shortbread with Raspberry Buttercream and the Peanut Butter with Chocolate Buttercream
Me: How do you choose what flavours to offer your customers?
Diana: I’m trying to choose more complicated recipes because that’s what people want; something different.
Me: How do you see your business growing in the next few years?
Diana: I’d like to have an actual storefront and hire people but I would still want to keep doing everything too.
Me: Do you think promoting your business through social media is important?
Diana: Yes, it’s all I’ve been working on lately!
Me: Do you accept cookie recipe ideas from customers?
Me: Do you think it’s important to love what you do?
Diana: Yes, that’s why I started this (company).
Diana gave us some Lemon Shortbread with Raspberry Buttercream and Chocolate with Raspberry buttercream to taste test.
They came in a cute box with ribbon and a bicycle on the side!
We could hardly wait to bite into them!
The lemon cookies melted in your mouth and tasted like butter, lemon and sugar. The chocolate and raspberry buttercream was a great combination and tasted like cocoa and raspberries. I’ve never tasted cookies this good. Honestly. I love making homemade cookies but I’ve never used all the amazing local ingredients that Diana does. She has a gift for sweets.
Now the best part: you have a chance to win 9 cookies of each of the flavours I taste tested (18 cookies altogether). Just fill out the Rafflecopter form below. To win you must be able to pick up, or have the cookies delivered, within downtown Halifax. See the terms and conditions, in the Rafflecopter form, for details.
I was compensated for this post with free cookies, but, my opinions are my own. (Oh who am I kidding, I’m still on a sugar high while typing this – those cookies totally swayed my opinion!)
