Hi everyone! It’s been a long time since I’ve done a personal post. I love communicating with all of you and sharing my personal life experiences. Today I want to share with you my decision to make a big change in my life.
My health has always been important to me. I come from a pretty active family. I grew up playing hockey, skiing every winter, skating, swimming and sailing. You name it and I probably tried it.

I loved to go to the gym in high school as well, and then it all drifted off when I went to university. For some reason other things kept getting in the way of exercise. I didn’t join any sports teams and then I met my husband, got married, and started having children. These were all wonderful moments in my life, but my health took a back page to everything else going on.
I still tried to make healthy choices, get active with my children and eat well, but the choices were mostly made for my family and not were made for me directly. Now, 11 years after my first daughter was born, I’m making a commitment to change my life.
I have made commitments in the past that haven’t worked, such as joining a gym and never making time to get there, or, joining an exercise program once a week, but not doing anything else on the other days of the week. This time I wanted to make a lifestyle change.
I found Deborah Hann’s company: Journey to Wellness, on Facebook through mutual friends. I started following her Facebook page because her posts were full of advice on how to get motivated and healthy. From there I found out about The Total Fat Loss System, the online program I have joined.
In The Total Fat Loss System, Deborah was offering everything I wanted:
1) A flexible program I could do from home or anywhere I was, on my own time.
2) A promise that this was a permanent lifestyle change not just a lose fat quick gimmick.
3) A program by a Certified Personal Trainer!
4) Accountability to both myself and someone else. I need a lot of encouragement!
5) A program that teaches how to eat healthy, menu plan and fit exercise in to your daily life.
6) Support! There is a private website, a Facebook group and emails. In the gold program you also have to submit a food journal.
7) An affordable choice! This program is much less than a monthly membership to a gym.
I officially started The Total Fat Loss System last week. Since then I have had daily emails from Deborah which include specific instructions on what I needed to do that day, links to exercise videos, reminders of where to find information, and encouragement to keep me wanting to do the program. I have also met many encouraging people, who are also on the program, in the private Facebook group.
I will admit, I have felt a little overwhelmed with the amount of information I’ve received and have to process right away. However, the encouragement from Deborah, keeps me going and knowing I will figure it all out as I spend more time in the program.
I have decided to do The Total Fat Loss Program for 3 months. I will be blogging again about my journey and posting in my Facebook group and on twitter as well. I would love to see some of you give this program a try along with me. If you do join be sure and let me know!
