Today we stopped for a travel break in Moncton,NB at Centennial Park. (811 St. George Boulevard) It’s a bit hard to find but worth it when you get there. It has hiking trails, an outdoor pool, TreeGO, a really fantastic playground and a water play park. It’s approximately 15 minutes from the TransCanada Highway and the playground and water park are completely free. There are also picnic tables, changing rooms and bathrooms available for your convenience.

Sometimes, I get myself in way over my head. I’m sure we’ve all done this once or twice! The problem is that I’m so sure I can do anything. That means I make a cake like the Cake Boss, right? How hard can it be after all. A few extra layers, some rolled fondant, a little decorating on the outside and voila…cake masterpiece! Boy, was I wrong! It wasn’t easy.

Welcome to My Life in the Sun! I am so happy you’re here reading my first blog! My name is Laura and I’m from Halifax, NS. My husband, Trevor, and I have two daughters, Jenna and Maia, and our family really loves to travel!

I had been reading a few different blogs regularly when I came up with the idea to start a blog about our travel experiences, the little things that make us happy, all things Disney, my favourite books and of course many other random subjects!

I started traveling at a very young age and the enthusiasm my father showed every time we left home led me to not only to be addicted to traveling but also simply in love with the feeling I get from seeing new places, meeting new people and learning new things. Now that I have two young daughters, I find myself wanting to do the same for them. I want to open their eyes to new experiences both close to home and far away.

I hope you enjoy!
