Our family has a tradition, of going to the theatre during the Christmas holidays, that goes back as far as I can remember. My mother loved to take me to the theatre when I was little. It was such a special event for me, with getting dressed up and going out at night.
My mother-in-law and I started taking my daughters to Symphony Nova Scotia‘s The Nutcracker, in Halifax, as soon as they could sit still in a seat. It has been an annual tradition ever since. Put on by Symphony Nova Scotia, Halifax Dance and Mermaid Theatre it is one of the best performances I have ever seen for children.
