It’s that time of year again; when light displays pop up all over North America, to celebrate the Holiday season. They light up the early night of winter and bring joy to our hearts. I’ve seen some amazing displays over the years and this years top Holiday Lights Celebrations Across America are incredible!
These three locations from Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and PEI really make me want to take a winter road trip!
Rustico Village is known locally as Christmas Town, because of the huge number of houses that participate in intricate light displays, every year. One house, known as the Christmas House has been decorated by James Gallant since 1989. He started decorating his house after his son passed away. If this story doesn’t tug at your heart-strings at Christmas, I don’t know what will!
In Halifax, Nova Scotia, Historic Properties is a shopping area on the waterfront, which has 10 of the cities oldest buildings. Built in the late 1700’s and early 1800’s, it’s a beautiful location for a light display! This year they are having the first annual Halifax Lights Holiday Market every weekend until Christmas. You can enjoy carollers, entertainment, local crafts, tasty treats and of course beautiful lights at night!
And in Moncton, New Brunswick, the Magnetic Hill Zoo has lit up their park with hundreds of thousands of lights. This new event, called Wild Lights, is on throughout December and also features an hourly winter themed light show.
Where was the best light display you have ever seen?
