I have a new favourite snack; and it’s actually good for me! The best part is that my family loves them too! Protinis are mini packs of chicken with dried fruit or marinated in a sauce. There are eight flavours eight flavours including Oven Roasted Chicken, Sweet Thai Chili Chicken, Mild Salsa Chicken, Honey Garlic Chicken, Oven Roasted Chicken and Cranberry, Oven Roasted Chicken and Superfruit, Oven Roasted Chicken and Mango, and Oven Roasted Chicken and Apple and they are delicious! They are the perfect snack for mid morning/afternoon or as part of a bento box in your child’s lunch. When I buy Protinis they are always the first thing my girls choose for their lunches!
Did you know that not all protein is created equal? Protinis are a complete source of protein. That means that the chicken in Protinis contains all of the essential amino acids your body needs, and can’t make on it’s own. Protein rich foods help build strong muscle and help build and repair body tissue. The chicken in Protinis is roasted and tastes delicious!
We snack a lot in our home and have a hard time finding healthy snacks for our children’s lunches. It is especially hard to find good sources of protein for school lunches, since nuts aren’t allowed at school, and yoghurt can be messy. Too often we rely on easy to grab snacks with a lot of sugar, like granola bars. Protinis have made lunch preparation easy and I never have to argue with my children to take them! In fact my children say: “Protinis, they’re delicious. I love their chicken!”

They are my new favourite snack too! My favourite combo is the chicken and the superfruit.
I make it into a light lunch for myself with some cheese and crackers.

Superstore had Protinis on sale for $1.99 each a few weeks ago. I bought a week’s worth for my partner and I! They were pretty good but I don’t know if I’d be buying them at the regular price, which I think is $5 something…not positive though.

That’s a great deal Krista! They are priced at $3.99 at Walmart on a regular basis I don’t think that’s bad at all for a lunch for my children. Sure, there are cheaper meals but they wouldn’t be as healthy. Thanks for the comment!
