This is a guest blog post by my daughter, Jenna, who visited the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia with her school class. She loves to write and it makes me proud that my daughters are inspired by my blog writing.
I went to the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia with my class. The first place we went was the mini theatre to put our things down. Then we were split up into groups.
The next place we went was the Maud Lewis exhibit. In the Maud Lewis exhibit we saw lots of cool things like, her house, her paintings, and I learned she loved a fluffy white cat. She painted a lot.
Next we looked at a lot of different paintings, I liked the one by Rene Marcel. It was of a dining room. There was also a sculpture of a comb just like the one out side the building, but the one out side the building was bigger.
Next we went to the third floor and looked at paintings of rich people. There’s a lot to learn there. We also looked at paintings of houses and one looks like my Grandma and Grumpy’s house. I think I want to be an impressionist painter when I get older.
Another painting I like is of river rapids. I like to paint nature. I had a great time at the art gallery and it was really fun.
The end
