Welcome to My Life in the Sun! My name is Laura and I’m from Halifax, NS. My husband, Trevor, and I have two daughters, and our family really loves to travel! We really enjoy meeting new people, being adventurous, learning about history and trying new foods!
I created My Life in the Sun to share our family’s travel stories with my family and it has blossomed into a positive online community. I also enjoy writing about parenting tips, staying motivated, how to save money, being artsy and of course about food. Who doesn’t love food? Why should you join my community? More about me: I started traveling at a very young age with my family and my parents really inspired me to learn about the world and be open minded. The enthusiasm my father showed every time we left home, led me to be addicted to travel, but also simply in love with the feeling I get from seeing new places, meeting new people and learning new things. Now that I have two young daughters I find myself wanting to do the same for them. I want to open their eyes to new experiences both close to home and far away.
You should also know: I love chocolate caramels with sea salt, the beach, summer, shopping and reading.
Did I mention that I love to work? I’m a problem solver and an extremely hard worker. I am always exploring and learning new things.
