Going to see a Medieval Times dinner theatre show is always a good time. I love horses, knights and of course bring called “my lady” and feeling like a queen for an evening doesn’t hurt! This was the first time we took our daughters to a show and I think they were just the right age for it.
We went to the castle in Orlando, Florida which is about a 15 minute drive the Holiday Inn Club Vacations Orange Lake Resort where we were staying. I’m not sure they liked being called princess very much, since they’re teenagers, but once the knights started battling and everyone was cheering they were definitely joining in and loving it!
We were assigned to cheer for the blue knight by the King. We were given blue crowns and flags and towels to wave around when cheering. The knights competed in events such as jousting and then battled using swords and many other strange instruments!
For the feast we were served bottomless jugs of pop or juice, two large pieces of chicken, corn, garlic bread, potatoes and dessert. The best part is that there are no utensils. And elbows are allowed on the table!
Our knight was doing great and won every battle! He even honoured my girls with flowers and a sash. It was a lot of fun seeing them enjoy the attention they were getting! If you have little girls they would love to dress up in their princess dresses for the show. Make sure you go early so you have time to see the falcon out front, shop in the shop and take pictures with the knights!
Disclosure: I was given free passes to attend this Medieval Times dinner, however, all opinions in this post are my own.
